If I told you that you can hallucinate your own reality, would you believe me?
I have witnessed two pivotal moments in my life—one being when I turned 30 and returned to Romania. I came back with just a few thousand euros in my pocket after living in Germany for a year where, honestly, I had mostly been coasting along. Yet, I felt a powerful urge to return, knowing that this move would trigger a major breakthrough—perhaps the most profound one yet—in my evolution as a spiritual teacher.
Germany had taught me discipline and perseverance, and the German lifestyle brought me greater clarity. However, my nature was too bohemian and free-spirited for the rigidity of the “Land of well-done work,” so I packed my bags and left.
On the plane, I felt a tangible tension that resembled the fervor of a new beginning. I had constructed this vision in my mind so clearly that things were bound to fall into place even better than I could have ever imagined.
The mental architecture I designed was empowering, and the cement I used for its construction was pure emotion. I had visualized my future with near-surgical precision:
Returning to Bucharest and renting an apartment.
Practicing Wuji Gong and alchemy every single morning.
Partnering with the leading wellness and yoga centers.
Building a vibrant community.
No sooner said than done. Less than half a year later, I was living in a charming little place near the Dâmbovița River, collaborating with Suntuncopac, and later teaching at Purna and Pawan yoga studios located right in the neighborhood. And these are just a few of the milestones I am documenting here.
An immense blessing came my way when I started another collaboration that yielded by far the most fruitful results: my partnership with Bucurania on Strada Frumoasă, near Romană Square. For nearly four years, this venue served as the cradle of a massive, joyful, and deeply spiritual community—honestly, the largest and most vibrant spiritual community in Bucharest at the time.
Bi-annual retreats hosting nearly 100 people brought a sense of fulfillment that took me right back to that precise moment in Germany. I remembered lying in that narrow but fluffy bed, giving birth to the very dream that was now unfolding.
If I hadn’t trusted that feeling and boarded that flight days later, I would have never witnessed this timeline, which has brought me so much achievement and fulfillment.
The same goes for you: trust that unstoppable feeling rising from the heart, moving beyond the ego and any resisting traits of your personality. Allow yourself to experience it, to ground it—meaning, to transform it into action.
The soul perceives the potential that strives to materialize. But the ego, instead of embracing the process—which naturally includes its ups and downs—what does it do? It resists. That is how anxiety, fear, and rigidity crawl in. Visualize and allow yourself to flow smoothly through the timeline you created, adapting as you go, without creating an emotional rollercoaster of extreme highs and lows.
It doesn’t have to be that way; things could be so much simpler if your personality—your soul patterns—didn’t complicate them. Remember to act today as if your future self were watching you and feeling grateful, because discipline is the ultimate voluntary sacrifice of the present self for the future self.
