Zhang Sanfeng
Root inspiration of the inner arts tradition.
Practice Framework
Primordial Qigong, also known as Wuji Gong or Enlightenment Qigong, is a compact Taoist movement form traditionally attributed to Zhang Sanfeng. The practice maps the passage from Wuji, the original emptiness, into Taiji, where yin and yang begin to differentiate. It is simple enough to learn, but dense enough to become a daily internal compass.
The form begins from the pre-birth state: stillness, openness, and undivided potential. Before technique, the body learns to return to center.
From the primal spark, polarity appears. The practice lets expansion and contraction, clockwise and counter-clockwise, movement and rest become visible in the body.
The body turns through the cardinal and intercardinal directions. This gives the practice its mandala-like structure: a living geometry rather than a random sequence.
The system carries Taoist themes: heaven, earth and human, Five Element theory, I Ching, number symbolism and the subtle relationship between posture, breath and awareness.
A simple living thread: teacher to student, practice to practice, silence to embodied understanding.
